E. & J. Gallo Winery contributes $100,000 to American Red Cross for hurricane Irma relief effort

MODESTO, Calif., (September 22, 2017) - E. & J. Gallo Winery announced today that it has donated an additional $100,000 to the American Red Cross to aid with relief efforts and assist communities in Florida impacted by Hurricane Irma. Last month, the company donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist the relief efforts in Texas related to Hurricane Harvey.

"On the heels of Hurricane Harvey, the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma has resulted in an unprecedented demand on the American Red Cross for assistance. On behalf of our employees and their families, as well as our distributor partners, we are making this new contribution to help Floridians affected by this storm to begin to recover as soon as possible," said Joseph E. Gallo, Chief Executive Officer and President of E. & J. Gallo Winery. "Our hearts go out to the millions of people who have suffered tremendous losses."

In addition, E. & J. Gallo Winery announced it will also match personal donations dollar for dollar made by its employees through the company’s Employee Match Program.

The donation will assist the American Red Cross with providing shelter, food and immediate disaster relief and recovery support.
